History tells of that famous flight When Rudolph's nose lit up the night. But down in the cellar, Santa was thinking "What special wine would people be drinking." The elves and the reindeer were gathered around In hopes that a holiday wine would be found. Then Rudy stepped forward, the place was a hush "Let's bottle a red, we've already a blush." "You're right, "Santa exclaimed, "Red wine we can do! Thanks, dear Rudy, we'll name it for you." So Rudolph's red is the newest edition Just in time for this Christmas tradition. LOL, I knew Santa was my kind of guy! You'll find that holiday poem on the label of RUDOLPH"S RED - an absolutely divine and delicious Pinot Noir bottled by Eola Hills Wine Cellar, in Rickreall, Oregon. OMG, this wine was so good, I could gush over it for two more blog posts. This might be one of the best bottles we've had since I started this blog. The vineyard boats gentle flavors of strawberries and cranberries with a light silky finish. I didn't taste any strawberry, and since I don't like strawberries, that's a good thing. But I did sense a hint of the cranberry and silky finish is right! This wine was so smooth and went down so easy, before we knew it, the bottle was gone! We had a glass while cooking - with the warm November/December, we were grilling chicken, potatoes, peppers and squash - and it was gone before we finished dinner. Which made the 2nd bottle we opened a bit of disappointment and we only had one glass. The downside is, I couldn't find this wine in any local liquor store. I haven't look in Sacred Wine Paradise in New Hampshire yet, but I will next week on my trip to bring my daughter home, so I had to order it through the vineyard. The wine itself was $12, not a bad price, but to get that and another bottle (I also bought VIXEN'S VINO to have for those curious souls that drink white wine) shipped was $23, but well worth it. Next year, I'll remember to order earlier. Eola Hills Wine Cellar has a holiday reindeer seasonal collection and a bottle for every taste. They have clever titles with festive and colorful labels, each with their own poem. Sadly, they were sold out of CUPID'S CAB or I would have bought that one as well. I hope you enjoyed reading about this wine as much as we did in drinking it... If you're so inclined, here's the vineyard website to check out the full Reindeer Collection. I still have a couple posts left for the year. A perfect holiday CURIOSITIES and of course, a little something about the darker side to Christmas/Holiday legends. But if you don't make it to those posts, I want to thank everyone who has stopped by, commented and supported my ramblings about ghosts, wine, etc. this year. Hope to see you in 2016. HAPPY HANUKAH, MERRY CHRISTMAS, BLESSED SOLSTICE!
However you celebrate this season of light I hope it's filled with joy, happiness, friends and family and of course, wine!!

Do you think it's something I'd like? I'm heading into NJ on Sunday. If I can get to the liquor store by my parents' house, I'll look for it.
